Do we need seperate Gadgets ?

lately ive been thinking ,do we really need seperate gadgets or do we just want seperate gadgets, say you have an a Mobile phone , an ipod or MP3 player , a seperate digital compact camera and a laptop, in 2011 the way some manufacturers believe is going , is convergence.

Convergence s when things come together, and some of the gadgets im going to write abou today are truly market shattering in potential.

The Motorola ATRIX (ATRIX 4G if your in the US)
At the consumer electronics show CES in las vegas a few weeks ago motorolal unveilled a beast of a phone,while the design might not strike fear into people, the specs will paralyse you from the eyes down. a Dual-core Nvidia TEGRA II cortex A9 proccessor,  a 4-inch  qHD display which is a resolution of 960x540 to deliver a tasty 275 ppi, a 5MP autofocus rear camera with 720p hd video capture at 30fps but in a software upgrade post launch there will be ful 1080p video capture supported. and the main part in the Us is the 4G branding , on Verizon wireless' LTE (long term evolution) network.


LG Optimus 2X (Speed)
Another Electronic device that brings convergence to a whole new level is the first commercially available LG Dual-core Nvidia TEGRA II chipset, each core runs at 1Ghz just like the ATRIX only this has half the RAM available at 512MB but its still a nippy device scoring a blazing fast 2770 on quadrant which is blazingfast and this phone, like the atrix runs android 2.2 Froyo with a Manufacturers skin ontop this time it's LG's Gesture UI whereas the ATRIX rums motorola's BLUR platform for increased social networking, Gesture UI is very iOS-esque even more than touchwiz so in many places and unlike the ATRIx the 2X comes standard with full HD video recording at 1080p out of the box.

Samsung Galaxy Beam (not announced probably never will be)
lastly on my list is the Samsung Galaxy beam, an phone that has modest mid-range to high end specs, it has a 800Mhz processor, but it has a n 8MP AF camera which is able to record 720p at 30FPS, a 3.7inch S-AMOLED display with a resolution of 800x480, a VGA front facing camera for telephony ,and last but not least, the reason why this phone is even on this list at all, is the Beam's saving grace and by far the coolest feature is it's ... Built in Pico projector! the Galaxy beam can playback on its projector up to 50Inches !. most notab;y the best use its been put to so far it was sent to te trapped chilean miners with videos from their families.

With all this tech soon becoming readily available ( apart from the galaxy beam we still hve basically nada info on that at all) do we need seperate phones,camera's,PDA's,projectors ,and with phones like the trx using docks to become net-top PC's and even netbooks ? why do we even need a seperate gadget for each,when we can get a jack of all trades phone, leave your comments below, if you think we should leave seperate gadgets behind and run with future convergence.

And guess what, it's doesn't lag,and the Minor bits of lag that are there are Touchwiz based,which are being remedied as we speak, same as the Larger Galaxy S4, which ad software glitches which caused it to lag, they are being ironed out as we speak. And yes, the Screen might not be HD, but it kinda does...

Why I'm not a fan of the OnePlus 2

Photo credit from GSMArena To those that Follow me on twitter it's no surprise to you that I was very underwhelmed with the OnePlus 2, but it's hard to explain why in 140 Characters, so here I'm going to expand a bit more on the things I’m not a fan of and why. First up is the USB-C Port. Now as we already know, USB-C the Port isn’t the same as USB-C W/USB3.1, the Damn USB-C, it's there,but not quite there. latter is the all singing all dancing version of USB-C, nothing has this yet (the closest we have so far is the new MacBook and Chromebook Pixel, that use most of this, except at USB3 speeds, or what has retroactively been called, USB3.1 Gen1). The OnePlus 2 though, like the Nokia N1 before it, isn't doing any of this, it hasn't got support for up to 100w, it doesn’t transfer data at the blisteringly fast 10gbps (USB 3.1 Gen2) or 5gbps (USB3.0/3.1 Gen1), no the USB-C port on the OnePlus 2 is USB2 based, that’s right 480mbps, same as microUSB in ph...
