  hey guys, this is the unboxing of my new phone, my android device was starting to break and instead of getting another android phone i decided that i was going to make the switch the Pre and WebOS

  yes you read correctly , i am getting rid of my android device, a orange san Francisco (ZTE Blade) because i have brought a Palm Pre, not a plus, a 2 and no i haven't got an early sneak preview of the pre 3, i have brought myself a 2009 palm pre,why you might ask, well as strange as it may seem , i liked the chrome ball shaped key in the centre, i prefer the keyboard of the original to that of the pre plus,i never really use the camera so the poor quality wont bother me, but the major reason i went with an original (aside from the point that they are dirt cheap) is how “Hackable” there is reports and videos showing the original pre overclocked to 1.2GHz (double the stock speed) and running flawlessly, there is videos showing that an 800MHz pre with WebOS 1.4.5 thrashing a 1GHz WebOS 2.0 pre 2. Also , apart from my San Francisco breaking (the OLED panel and the digitizer both broke) which was hardly financially viable (£25 for digitizer and £30 for OLED, phone only cost be £100)...

  after posting that the SGS II “attain” was found on PDAb.net’s website i scoured around a bit more and found the conquer 4G for sprint and the Samsung Hercules for t-mobile also listed on their site. lets show you some pics of the listings Hercules: and Conquer 4G : now I'm a bit sceptical about the Hercules because A) the picture is of the Samsung Infuse 4G on AT&T, and the spec sheet is eerily similar to the infuse 4G and B)when looking at the spec sheet for each phone the processor is listed at being a Qualcomm APQ8060 and a MSM8655, obviously neither of which being Either Exynos or Hummingbird, the CPU’s made by Samsung Sources : Hercules and Conquer 4G

  Hey guys i decided to wander around the virtual aisles of Woolworths and travelled to the electrical section, then to phones and i scrolled down and i found the Sydney from orange, which on orange hasn’t been confirmed to have a price yet, but on Woolworths.co.uk they have the Sydney at £59.00 , which i think is alright for the spec sheet, photo and spec sheet below.   Here is my unboxing of the follow up device for one of HTC’s best selling phones of 2010 the HTC Wildfire, back in its second incarnation will it be as popular as its predecessor ? only time will tell.

  When Nokia announced the N9, the day after that Stephen Elop himself showed the first prototype of their first windows phone code named sea ray, the Sea ray had essentially the same chassis as the N9 a uni-body polycarbonate shell, a very nice wide-angle 8MP camera round the back, hidden ports on the top , all buttons on the side, but the sea ray has the Windows phone hardware chassis requirements to uphold, like a dedicated camera button and 3 capacitive or hardware buttons back,windows,and search, in the case of the sea ray, we expected the three windows phone buttons to be virtual of all things, because the N9’s screen is an unusual screen resolution called FWVGA or more commonly 854x480, thats 54 pixels more than WP7 can use, and we initially thought that nokia was using those 54 pixels and virtual WP7 buttons, but alas, this morning we were greeted with a video from what seems to be a factory floor, with a N9-ish type device pulled from either a hard case or a stealth case,...

**UPDATE** : full spec sheet at the bottom of page A little while ago the Samsung Galaxy Z was leaked by a Swedish mobile phone network to be a slightly lower end version of its flagship smartphone the Galaxy S II, with a screen shrink of 0.1 inches, a 400MHz CPU drop to a 1GHz Dual-core NVidia Tegra II from a 1.2GHz Dual-core Exynos 4210 which is one of Sammy’s Home grown processors                              Galaxy Z on the left and Galaxy S II on the right GSMarena reports that in design cues Samsung have rounded the corners on the Z more, and there is a lot more metal on the Z so although it is heavier it feels a lot more substantial and somewhat premium, but with that you gain thickness so its not as paper-cut inducing as the Galaxy S II but its not that much thicker. also the home button is the same shape but has a different pattern which just makes it looks pretty sweet in my opinion     ...

  There isn’t much we don’t know about the Nokia N9, but we now know one more thing, something that the Finnish company is calling “non-destructive photo editing” and they are proud to announce, the N9 is the only phone in the world at this moment in time to offer this feature. Basically, you can mess around with any feature you can think of whether it be brightness,contrast,rotation,cropping red-eye etc, and then when you open it the next time there will be an option to “reset to original” which seems to be the most useful feature in the world, like if you let your kids play with your phone and those “one time shots” from your holiday that are on your phone, your kid might mess around and place a smiley on the statue of liberty, when you open it you can change it back to good old lady liberty. Hey guys guess what ? no, you cant guess , oh well ill tell you, you remember the LG Optimus pro, the Blackberry-esque smartphone , well its real, and so is its sister phone the Optimus net, but lets go through the stuff that apparently makes a "pro" phone well according to LG with the Optimus pro, Samsung with the Galaxy pro and Motorola with the DROID pro (you see the pattern here) you add a portrait keyboard, give it a bit of a lacklustre screen res and size and then add "Pro" to the name, now with the exception of the DROID Pro, most portrait QWERTY androids have pretty lacklustre processors, the Optimus Pro and the galaxy pro have 800MHz processors but there have been ones that run at sub 600MHz and that just makes my skin crawl. sorry for the rambling, full spec sheet for the Drool  yawn worthy Optimus pro below : 2.5 inch QVGA (240x320) capacitive touch display 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor android 2.3 gingerbread with LG's custom UX 256MB of ...

Since the inception of the Pre 3 we have told that it was having a single core 1.4GHz Qualcomm processor, which is no slouch ,but today we were tipped that at launch (in the UK at least) that it may in fact have a 1.2GHz dual-core processor to keep up with the dual-core super-mega-awesome phones coming from HTC, Samsung and Motorola. now could this be  a regional difference, so the UK (and most likely the rest of the EU) gets a dual-core wonder kid and the states and wherever else is getting the Pre 3 gets a single core 1.4GHz ? because if it is a regional difference  boy am i glad i live in the UK, but most likely its probably a Typo or a misunderstanding ,which is sad because when it was announced in February there wasn't a lot of dual-core phones, so 1.4GHz was a lot seeing as an single core had not breeched the 1GHz barrier (well without being overclocked). so tell me in the comments guys, would you like to see the Pre 3 with a dual core 1.2 or a si...

We've already   gotten our grubby little mitts on it , and it looks like soon enough you too will be able to wrap your QWERTY-loving digits around a   Torch 2 . It looks like the display-centric BlackBerry just slid its way through the FCC, sporting 850MHz and 1900MHz GSM bands, indicating this particular model (listed as RDM71UW) is destined for AT&T. Obviously, even if this is in fact the Torch 2, an FCC filing is not exactly a confirmed release date -- so don't start lining up outside your local AT&T outlet just yet. It was first leaked, then handled by Technobuffalo and Engadget respectively , and soon enough (if you live in the states) you might be able to get those Blackberry lovin' mitts all over the Torch 2 soon, it has just passed through the FCC sporting the 850MHz and the 1900MHz GSM spectrum bands, the 850MHz (well both really) indicate that the Torch 2 is going to AT&T, but to put it in the words of engadget " an FCC filing is not exactly a ...

Earlier today Orange UK announced the pricing for it's QWERTY totting android froyo (2.2) smartphone, it's going to be £99.99 with a mandatory £10 top up when you buy the device. the QWERTY design is not very familiar to android seeing as not many manuacturers (even the high end ones) have tried to create QWERTY androids, there is the Motorola Pro (DROID Pro in th USA) the samsung Galaxy Pro and those are the only two off the top of my head, so i think that the barcelona will appeal to those trying to get into android but cant seem to get rid of the QWERTY 'board of their blackberries yet. i look forward to seeing if Orange will send me a review unit, if not i might have to buy one so you guys get the content you come here for. -Dom
