HTC Chacha
The HTC Chacha is also a new addition to the HTC range this year, also featuring a VGA front-facing camera but also a full physical QWERTY keyboard on the device, the Chacha is NOT a touchscreen-enabled device but still a dedicated Facebook-enabled phone. It has a dedicated glowing Facebook ‘share’ button at the bottom of the device roughly 2/3 towards the right, slightly off centre which will allow users to share their current activity on their device with one click or check into Facebook Places with a long press. The HTC Chacha will be released alongside the HTC Salsa towards the end of the second quarter of 2011. See the specification breakdown below:

Facebook Phones
Mark Zuckerberg has announced, following the release of the HTC Salsa and HTC Chacha that these are not the only facebook phones going to be released, and that there will be many more, released from other brands this year. He also specified that there will be no facebook branded phone. So expect many more facebook dedicated phones. These facebook dedicated phones will mostly be low-spec phones focusing on facebook as one of the only functions the user will use the phone for besides calling, texting and browsing, because of this they have kept internal storage to a minimum not allowing many applications to be installed onto the inbuilt memory. On the other hand, these phones will most likely be cheaper to buy.
Tablet: HTC Flyer
The HTC Desire is HTC’s very first tablet device, with the HTC Scribe technology to beat the other competitors out there. The HTC Flyer comes with a pressure sensitive stylus which will be used to perform different functions on the device. The device features a tablet-optimised version of Sense UI and features a microSD memory card slot for further options for expanding memory. The device unfortunately lacks in not having Android 3.0, but HTC’s reasoning is because they haven’t had enough time to develop with the latest Google code to fit with the full requirements of Sense. On the other hand the high-spec device will hopefully also be released in the second quarter of 2011, but that is unconfirmed as of yet.
Spec Breakdown:
OS: Android 2.4 Gingerbread
CPU: 1.5GHz
RAM: 1GB
Internal Storage: 32GB
Display: 7” 1024x600
Camera: 5MP back-facing / 1.3MP front-facing
Battery: 4000mAh
