Samsung @ MWC

WOW last nigth released exactly what we knew was coing , but it was spectacular, sorry i couldnt blog last night i was no where near a computer but Samsung released the samsung galaxy s II and the Samsung galaxy tab 10.1aptly named for its screen size.

4.27inch capacitive multi-touch Super AMOLED+ display with a resolution of 800x480 , wow thats a mouthful but here it is guys the super AMOLED+ screens are gong to start rolling out now , and underneath we have a 1Ghz dual-core Exynos processor Touchwiz 4.0 ontop of android 2.3 gingerbread (props for samsung for releasinga phone with a current build of android , an 8MP rear camera with Autofocus and an LED Flash capable of shooting and playing 1080P Full HD video back , a 2MP front facing webcam for use with video telephony applications such as tango,fring and soon skype , 16GB or 32GB variants , and all this in a package of 8.49MM , yes guys not a typo 8.49MM !!! thats slimmer than the Xperia Arc. it also incorporates Near field communication or NFC for short, which is like contactless payments you can make with your phone, this technology was made big by nokia in some of their phones but also by samsung/google in the newly released Google/Samsung Nexus S , also on par with the motorola ATRIX this phone will sport 1GB of RAM, i still cant get over that 8.49m slenderness.

Galaxy Tab 10.1
the Samsung galaxy Tab 10.1 is what the name impliues really , and then some , it is a 10.1 inch version of the samsung Galaxy Tab, but this Runs Honeycomb, Google's Tablet version of its android platform, it is very similar to the Motorola XOOM in specifications,but the design is rather different, well from the back anyway, lets look at some specs here,
Not too shaby from samsung if you ask me ,but their seems to be a trend with honycomb tablets.... they are pure google experience, maybe google is stopping OEM's from putting skins on top of Honeycomb in a bid to escape their fragmentation situation, who knows.

And guess what, it's doesn't lag,and the Minor bits of lag that are there are Touchwiz based,which are being remedied as we speak, same as the Larger Galaxy S4, which ad software glitches which caused it to lag, they are being ironed out as we speak. And yes, the Screen might not be HD, but it kinda does...

Why I'm not a fan of the OnePlus 2

Photo credit from GSMArena To those that Follow me on twitter it's no surprise to you that I was very underwhelmed with the OnePlus 2, but it's hard to explain why in 140 Characters, so here I'm going to expand a bit more on the things I’m not a fan of and why. First up is the USB-C Port. Now as we already know, USB-C the Port isn’t the same as USB-C W/USB3.1, the Damn USB-C, it's there,but not quite there. latter is the all singing all dancing version of USB-C, nothing has this yet (the closest we have so far is the new MacBook and Chromebook Pixel, that use most of this, except at USB3 speeds, or what has retroactively been called, USB3.1 Gen1). The OnePlus 2 though, like the Nokia N1 before it, isn't doing any of this, it hasn't got support for up to 100w, it doesn’t transfer data at the blisteringly fast 10gbps (USB 3.1 Gen2) or 5gbps (USB3.0/3.1 Gen1), no the USB-C port on the OnePlus 2 is USB2 based, that’s right 480mbps, same as microUSB in ph...
