Just a quick catch up and roundup of the Sony Ericsson stand at Mobile World Congress last week.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play
Merging the world of gaming and mobile communications, the Xperia Play raises the bar for gaming in the mobile market. The Xperia Play features a slide out gaming controller for the on-screen games, with touch sensitive controls and PSP style gaming buttons and layout. The device is expected to be released in March this year. See the specification breakdown below:

Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro
This was the only device that Sony Ericsson managed to keep under covers, with the rest of the range being leaked, regardless, this is the only phone released from Sony Ericsson with a physical slide-out keyboard for the messaging enthusiasts out there. A compact phone featuring Sony’s famous Timescape UI the Xperia Pro is a vast improvement from the X10 mini and X10 mini pro. The device is expected to be released in Q2 of 2011. A follow up of the X10 and X8 previously released by Sony, the Xperia Arc has a sleek design and improves on all of Timescape’s bugs that previously cropped up. The large display is great for gaming and web browsing with ease and makes multimedia a breeze to go through. The device is expected to be released in March this year. A new addition to the range and widely leaked, the Neo is a budget-tight alternative of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. The Sony Ericsson doesn’t lack in the features the Arc has so none-the-less this is still a great smartphone. The device is expected to be released in March this year. And guess what, it's doesn't lag,and the Minor bits of lag that are there are Touchwiz based,which are being remedied as we speak, same as the Larger Galaxy S4, which ad software glitches which caused it to lag, they are being ironed out as we speak. And yes, the Screen might not be HD, but it kinda does...

Why I'm not a fan of the OnePlus 2

Photo credit from GSMArena To those that Follow me on twitter it's no surprise to you that I was very underwhelmed with the OnePlus 2, but it's hard to explain why in 140 Characters, so here I'm going to expand a bit more on the things I’m not a fan of and why. First up is the USB-C Port. Now as we already know, USB-C the Port isn’t the same as USB-C W/USB3.1, the Damn USB-C, it's there,but not quite there. latter is the all singing all dancing version of USB-C, nothing has this yet (the closest we have so far is the new MacBook and Chromebook Pixel, that use most of this, except at USB3 speeds, or what has retroactively been called, USB3.1 Gen1). The OnePlus 2 though, like the Nokia N1 before it, isn't doing any of this, it hasn't got support for up to 100w, it doesn’t transfer data at the blisteringly fast 10gbps (USB 3.1 Gen2) or 5gbps (USB3.0/3.1 Gen1), no the USB-C port on the OnePlus 2 is USB2 based, that’s right 480mbps, same as microUSB in ph...
