Wow, that was ,AWESOME, HP Wrapped up their WebOS event in san francisco a few hours ago and all i can say at this moment in time is ,wow like seriously well done. Some of the products shown are truly revolutionary and also pretty cute, HP released 2 smartphones and a tablet (yes the mythical WebOS tablet was revealed)
HP Pre 3
This is all about the speed baby
CPU it packs a 1.4Ghz single core processor, 1.4Ghz! that is mental we are only just getting dual-core phones of 2Ghz and samsung is pushing their 1.2Ghz orion chips, but this snapdragon seems so powerful its unbelievable.
Screen a welcome change from WebOS devices of the past, gone is the tiny 3.1inch screen with the lowly screen resolution, HP is grabbing it by the horns with a 3.6inch 800x480 WVGA display, Now from what we know (which isnt much) im just going to guess its a normal LCD display but it looks incredibly vibrant i'll say that.
Keyboard i know most of you who have used a Pre loathed the keybord,but no more, this is the largest keyboard they have ever put on a mobile device and thats saying something, but this is aweosme the keys look alot more firm than mushy they are well spaced out,not cramped up like Pre's of the past were you had to use your nails to type.
PS the camera is 5MP and is autofocus and finally can shoot in 720P HD
HP Veer
Cute as a button ,but slightly more powerful
Think of the veer as an upgrade to the pixi, but in physical terms as a squashed down pre, and thats not a bad thing because this thing is so cute im definitely UK.
CPU next-gen 800Mhz snapdragon processor, see this chipset is fast on phone that have large scrren and other stuff on a phone with a 2.6inch screen this thing screams more than 1Ghz running nexus S
Screen now the screen is sort of the same as the pixi but it has more in relation to the Pre2 and Pre3 , it has the same size and resolution of the pixi at 2.6inches and 320x400 , but it if flat instead of curved, it uses gorilla glass on the front for extra security and its capacitive with multi-touch just as speedy and responsive as before.
Keyboard now this is where people will get worried or turned off,the veer houses a full QWERTY keyboard in this tiny form factor, and people will be having night terrors about the original Pre, have no fear HP have said they have manufactured this the same way as the Pre3 and have used extensive research to find out what people want when typing on the keyboard.

HP TouchPad
The TouchPad is the rival the ipad has needed and wanted lets delve deeper into this might beast in the façade of a unicorn.
CPU 1.2Ghz dual core snapdragon , currently the highest clock speed in any dual-core mobile device, it blazes through any task you want it to, switching between apps and trying to run this device into the ground seems doubtful when all of this is on-board, its hard to fail also its coupled with 1GB RAM.
Screen a 9.7inch LCD display with a resolution of 1024x768 , not much else really ,just an awesome screen
Software this runs WebOS in tablet form, which is WebOS yeah but its called WebOS 3.0 , and i wonder if we'll see webOS 3.0 come to WebOS Smartphones ,android 3.0 as well ? coincidence i think not.but yeah the first device to ship and run WebOS 3.0
Camera this has a 1.3MP front facing camera for video telephony ,but that is all, there is no rear camera, but if we are honest would you really use a tablet as a camcorder ? you would look a bit of a prat there if i saw you using it like that.
network there will be a WiFi only Touchpad coming out in summer with 3G (and 4G if your in america) variants
audio and last but most definitely not least , the inclusion of beats by dre into the touchpad for AWESOME music playback , the sound quality on beats by dre is excellent because of the technology , and obviously this can only happen seeing as HP Own the company that makes beats by dre
Now guys im definitely getting a Veer over a Pre3 because i dont need the power of the Pre 3,i already carry around 2 fully fledged smartphone a blackberry and a n android device,if i could carry all 3 i would but if i had to choose 3 i think i would give android the boot (sorry andy the android) and the veer is the device that suits me, if its priced competitively it will be a real winner.
